Glossary

Plain-language definitions of Cardano and TokenLume terms used across markets, wallets, and intelligence.

Terms

ADA

The native currency of Cardano. On-chain amounts are often handled in lovelace (1 ADA = 1,000,000 lovelace).

Cardano

A proof-of-stake blockchain. TokenLume focuses on Cardano market and on-chain intelligence.

Wallet address

A public bech32 identifier (often starting with addr1…) that can receive assets. See Wallet intelligence.

Stake address

A stake/reward address (stake1…) tied to delegation and rewards. TokenLume may prefer it when resolving CIP-30 connections for portfolio views.

Stake pool

An operator that produces blocks; ADA holders delegate stake to pools to earn rewards.

Epoch

A fixed time period in Cardano consensus used for rewards and protocol rhythm.

UTXO

Unspent transaction output — Cardano’s accounting model for how value sits on-chain until spent.

Transaction

A ledger entry that consumes UTXOs and creates new ones, optionally minting/burning native assets.

Block

A batch of transactions added to the chain. Tip height helps measure sync freshness.

Token / native asset

A fungible or non-fungible asset on Cardano identified by policy ID and asset name (hex unit id in APIs).

Market cap

Approximate valuation from price × circulating supply when both inputs exist. Often missing for incomplete assets.

Volume

Traded notional over a window (for example 24h) on covered DEX venues — not necessarily global CEX volume.

Circulating supply

Tokens estimated to be in circulation. Quality depends on provider metadata.

Wallet activity

Observed transactions and related signals for an address on TokenLume’s wallet profile.

Signal

An explainable classification of unusual or notable market/on-chain observations. See Intelligence.

Watchlist

A private list of tokens/wallets you follow. See Watchlists.

Alert

A user rule that creates notifications when matching signals or price conditions occur. See Alerts.

Whale (analytical)

Informal label for large observed transfers or trades. TokenLume may classify “whale-like” activity analytically — not as advice.

Data freshness

How recently TokenLume successfully refreshed a dataset from providers. See Data freshness.
